How to waste a lot of time: I'm on 5 Mastodon instances including my own experimental one. The experiment is this: Get a bunch of people who are interested in a certain thing on a Mastodon instance. If they choose who they follow according to the shared interest, the federated timeline will be a community-curated feed. Matters not whether they post.
