@bmt You reminded me of a side job I once had maintaining a PL/1 Chinese astrology program on behalf of its owner, an elderly Tai Chi / I Ching master. Its output was your horoscope printed on greenbar fanfold paper.

@wrenpile K3WL! Yeah, I'm old enough to have cut my teeth on PL/1. Still have my 1970 copy of Bates & Douglas (or maybe my son has it at college; he's kind of into retro computing). I remember that PL/I had a STERLING datatype for shillings and pence; did it have any good datatypes for planetary motions and qi meridians? :)

@bmt The IBM PL/1 course given by Eric Hankam was one of the greatest educational experiences of my life.
